Description
DHR38 is an ecdysone-inducible Drosophila member of the nuclear receptor superfamily of transcription factors with a variety of roles during embryonic development. Like EcR and usp, DHR38 is broadly expressed during the third instar, prepupal and pupal stages, suggesting that its temporal specificity may be conferred by a hormone. DHR38 mutant flies have abnormalities in cuticle formation.
