Description
The Drosophila eagle gene eg encodes a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily of transcription factors, embryonic gonad protein (egon). egon regulates the expression of target genes with functions in signal transduction and central nervous system development. Egon is expressed in the embryonic gonad.
