Description
DHR78 is a Drosophila member of the nuclear receptor superfamily of transcription factors that is thought to mediate ecdysteroid signaling during metamorphosis. DHR78 is broadly expressed at low levels throughout embryogenesis, the second instar and third larva and prepupal development. DHR78 is required during larval development, with mutants displaying defects in ecdysone-triggered molting of the larval cuticle.
